DESIGN REVIEW
Sharding is infrastructure.
Ownership requires weights.
The submitted iB9 design has a valid capacity-weighted sharding concept, but random initialization, virtual devices, generated shard hashes, or a successful smoke route do not prove a trained native checkpoint.
| Required invariant | Current state | Pass condition |
|---|---|---|
| Checkpoint identity | HOLD | Stable path + full SHA-256 + format validation |
| Tensor census | HOLD | Header-derived tensor count and raw learned-parameter total |
| Training ownership | HOLD | Before/after divergence bound to optimizer and dataset receipts |
| Shard integrity | SPECIFIED | Shard hashes recombine to the verified source checkpoint manifest |
| Buddy route | HOLD | Measured inference against the verified weights with failure tests |
| Registry update | BLOCKED | All prior checks pass and lineage DAG accepts the node |
